The Market Adoption Subcommittee is actively recruiting new participants.  Participation is open to anyone, but please be aware that there is a selection process for choosing voting members. For more information, email Bob Sundberg by clicking here.

 Skills and experience that could contribute to the Market Adoption Subcommittee:

  • Successful involvement in marketing energy efficiency products and/or services such as merchandising, advertising, promotional concepts, education and training, and more.
  • Knowledge of HVAC product distribution from OEM R&D to end user participation or sale.
  • Knowledge of ETCC requirements and implementation procedures.
  • Awareness of IOU energy efficiency programs as it pertains to HVAC products and services.
  • Availability to participate in conference calls monthly on the first Wednesday.

 How participatimg in the Market Adoption Subcommittee will benefit your organization:

  • The members of this subcommittee will have the ability to streamline procedures and implementation of moving advanced technology products from factory to sale.
  • OEMs:  Gain insight on current procedures to market advanced technology products; make recommendations on future collaborations and guidelines to enhance market penetration
  • Distributors/Contractors:  Involvement of adopting new technologies into your current business model to stay in the forefront of competition; development of skills and tools to educate your customers
  • Educators/Trainers:  Identification of necessary training skills for contractors to adopt new products and services into their business models, and the ability to structure classes and education accordingly

Activities of the the subcommittee:

  • As a newly formed subcommittee, we are seeking input and information on current processes and procedures that exist in California in presenting new technologies to the marketplace
  • Continue to identify key stakeholders in the market adoption process and solicit input and participation
  • Identify gaps in communications and processes, both present and future
  • Identify and test at least two new HVAC products/services/technologies from IOU portfolios, documenting procedural processes of successful market adoption traits
