Information About Joining the Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee is actively recruiting new participants. Participation is open to anyone, but please be aware that there is a selection process for choosing voting members. You may contact the committee chair, Michelle Cook, for more information by clicking here.
 
Skills and experience that could contribute to the Marketing Committee:
  • Promotional or marketing experience in residential and/or commercial energy efficiency
  • Marketing or other experience in HVAC programs or industry
  • Program/project management experience or knowledge
  • Communications experience or knowledge
  • Corporate brand guidelines experience or knowledge
  • Availability to participate in conference calls monthly on the third Tuesday
 How participating in the Marketing Committee will benefit your organization:
  • The work of this Committee will influence and support marketing and communications for IOU HVAC and WHPA program efforts.
  • The work of this committee will influence the creation of statewide branding and messaging for statewide HVAC programs (in support of the CA Long-Term Strategic Plan).
  • The work of this committee will be visible to the CPUC, the CEC, and the statewide IOUs.
  • You will gain a connection with other HVAC and IOU stakeholders.
 Activities of the Marketing Committee:
  • Identify promotional opportunities for IOU HVAC programs and the WHPA.
  • Recommend and implement marketing and communication strategies for WHPA.
  • Review the use of the WHPA logo and evaluate brand guideline adherence.
  • Develop marketing deliverables for use in promotion and communication of the WHPA.
  • Implement and track WHPA marketing metrics and report to the Steering Committee.
  • Support and collaborate with other WHPA Committees and Subcommittees as requested by the Steering Committee.
Meeting time – Conference call the third Tuesday of every month from 11 a.m. to noon Pacific Time. There are no onsite meetings.
