	The Institute of Heating and Air Conditioning Industries, Inc., is a non-profit trade association of contractors, manufacturers, distributors, utility firms, and related businesses actively engaged in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and sheet metal industries. 	The Joint Committee on Energy and Environmental Policy is charged with the responsibility to monitor and influence energy and environmental policy in California as it pertains to and impacts the HVAC industry. Its mission is to promote responsible environmental policy and encourage efficient HVAC market transformation through collaboration with industry stakeholders and regulatory agencies. 	National Comfort Institute, Inc. provides training, equipment and consultation to HVAC contractors around the world so they can provide more comfortable and energy efficient homes/offices to their customers. NCI member contractors learn to test/diagnose systems to determine their existing efficiency and capacity to deliver comfort, pinpoint troubles, effectively correct deficiencies, and document post-correction, measured HVAC performance for their customers. 	The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada (UA) is a multi-craft union whose members are engaged in the fabrication, installation and servicing of piping systems. The WHPA charter has established 14 members of the Executive Committee.  Members are organizations, not individuals. Executive Committee leadership is shared by two Co-Chairs, one selected by permanent members from their EC membership, and the other selected by elected members from the Council of Advisors (COA). The current Co-Chairs of the EC are Paul Thomas with SDG&E and Ron Jarnagin with ASHRAE. More information about the WHPA Executive Committee is available in the WHPA Charter.

The Executive Committee is currently active and meets once a month by conference call, with occasional in-person meetings.  Meetings are closed unless designated as an open meeting. Guests participate by invitation only.

This Working Group has completed the work that was requested of it with the presentation of its final report to the Executive Committee on June 12, 2013. This Working Group is currently inactive. CLICK HERE for notes from the Working Group.
